Looked at immediate issues that I could resolve or look into resolving over the course of my stay in the company. Discussed computer memory backup methods, website renewal and generally looked at the assets already available to me for online branding and marketing.

Looked into Facebook advertising and the different work the company offers. Intention to make an animated Facebook banner as the main demographic audience use Facebook the most.

I found assets from the company's previous branding and started compiling them together into a brand key.

we did work with a church event and they needed A6 sized leaflets for their church and BBQ meeting. We were given a photo of their previous leaflets and was told to replicate this leaflet as close as possible with the deadline of 4pm (2 hours) I was set with replicating the previous design while my partner Ashley, worked on the BBQ poster. Both were sent to a client in pdf format ready to be printed after the approval of the client.

I created vector assets of some of the previous branding as it wasn't usable on Adobe After effect or larger files. I was shown the email system of which I will be looking into preventing spam mail.

once my assets were made I was then made a small 1x1 square animation for the purpose of using on a Facebook profile image to find that it hasn't been implemented for pages. I am instead altering it into a grip pattern for use on social medial or on future Youtube content.

Today I did alterations for a previous client on updates for the Achievers Faith Church altering details and adding travel instructions under another strict deadline of a few hours.
I then made a design document to be used as tarp banners for an upcoming business; 'Lost Property'. I wasn't clear on their specifications so I made multiple outcomes and vectorised their logo to be more appropriate for larger scale print and multiple other uses. I also discovered a previous system set up to allow file transfers from one pc to another, removing the immediacy and impracticality of using a USB.

I did work on the 'Lost Property' brands VIP cards. I sent it off for the client to give feedback before sending it to print. I was invited to the first monthly afternoon tea meetup organised by the 'Harambee' organisation. A close business with Media21a. This was a good time to spend more time speaking to my employer in a more casual setting. When I returned to the office I had to make alterations to the 'Lost Property' banner as it was being sent to print this day having to quickly and effectively re-create the banner on the appropriate dimensions. The rest of the day was dedicated to optimising how the computers linked up together to enable easier file sharing.

Today I researched how to transfer a website from one host to another altering DNS and C-names. This is the first time I have ever done however not only do Media21a offer print but also websites so this information is valuable to have. I had a meeting in person with previous client Paul from ' Lost property' regarding menu changes for less popular items on the menu to be removed and price changes. I then created A2 banners for a charity company called ' Oj's '. I then uploaded a post to the official Media 21a social media page of our meeting with Paul.

Today I worked on Student Flyers for the 'Lost Property' brand and sent them feedback. I then assisted with updating the menu for the same company. Altering prices, editing categories and updating it for re-print. I also overlooked my colleague make a leaflet for a funeral. I assisted with finding appropriate assets and fonts for the document after getting verbal feedback from the client.

Today was the first day I worked without Ashley's supervision. I had to make amendments to the funeral booklet before getting it sent off to print. I had to discuss with emotionally distressed clients in a calm and respectful manner to discuss changes as well as work quickly to reach the deadline of the day. After this I worked on the 'Lost Property' menu and takeaway changes. This took me till the end of the day and I discussed with the client the best way to communicate menu changes as there was a lot of miscommunication over emails.

I made an A5 flyer for a client for a monthly Caribbean food meet-up with creative freedom other than the information given. This task had a quick turnaround and had to be done as quickly as possible. (3 hrs )

I made amendments to the Lost Property and by extension the Takeaway menu. I helped to collect large print orders with my college.

I had to travel to a printer to get printed examples for the 'Lost Property' brand. I then finalised the changes and got it sent for print. I also did a lot of admin and email replies in relation to unfinished jobs that needed sending to print ensuring they are ordered for this week. I also made amendments to the files layout to be correct for print.

Today was a quiet day so I spent the day on After Effects working on an animated banner for the work Facebook page. Based on the previous version of the banner, I sought to re-imagine it animated.

Today I discussed with a client what information they would like on their flyers. They wanted 3 single sided A5 pages of information condensing into 1 double sided A5.

I sorted through some emails, getting rid of spam and organising invoices. I then worked on the Double sided A5 work from the previous day.

I did follow up with clients and worked out what jobs needed doing by priority. I also vectorised a logo for a client as their logo wasn't a high enough quality.

I worked on Harambee Flyers for the upcoming afternoon tea. It was a strict deadline of one day without any external supervision. I also organised emails.

I worked on following up a lot of in between jobs through emails and adjusted the 'Harambee' documents to be correct as a few errors were spotted from the previous job that was printed.
I also made a seasonal social media post using vector art and type.

I worked on an illustrated art piece on commission. It was a clean sketch and basic colour. I spent 6hrs on it before finishing it for the client.

Today I amended the Estabulo Flip Cards as there was an error for print. a lot of the morning was overseeing and discussing with company representatives with details relating to updating the files and adjusting posting times. Compared prices with local printers. Re-designed the Estabulo files to be correct again due to miscommunication. Made no parking signs.

I had a meeting with a client at 12 that lasted 1 hour. Before going to it I spent that time researching into the business to get a sense of what they were after. After I researched into the prospect of animated Christmas cards and methods of animating them.

I made an animated poster to promote our Christmas card design services and discussed motion graphics motion E-cards. I spent the evening looking into email video marketing and images. It requires a high level of coding to convert video footage into email format. I will have to find a work-around.

Today I amended a document that was incorrectly formatted. I needed to ensure icons were formed on 20mmx20mm grid squares. I also made amendments to the previous business card before sending an updated version to the client. I did general admin work and readied images for A3 borderless print.

Today I adjusted and printed work for Peter O'toole and the Yorkshire Regiment. I then altered and finished the 'Little Can of Bliss' business card and comp slip and sent them to the client to review. I next edited and made an alternative Christmas card with the images given to me by the Labour Council. I adjusted the sizing of an image for a client and re-sent the PDF adjusted. I got in touch with the Sikh Soldier website and requested changes to be made after discussing with the client. Adjusted photos for an A2 collage print. Followed up with previous jobs and clients.

Updated and created 4 letterheads for a client and sent them to be reviewed. Spoke with Local Labour Party member to discuss Christmas Card Ideas and quotes. Looked up the cost of printing large amounts of christmas cards to quote. 2000-3000 plus any time spent on project. Sent to a client and waiting on a response. Looked up and quoted for a backlit poster. Sent and awaiting a response.

Updated and re-made the labour card to correct size and update. had issues exporting images so had to work around it. sent 12.30 sent emails to clients giving updates 12.45. Found footage for lynden of the marching band. 2:30 lunch. Went through band photos with Lynden. 3:45 started on updating the long video and rendering it.

Sending emails back to clients regarding work and organising emails while checking for an email sent by a client regarding changes to their website we are 'hosting'. 11:45 I don't think it has come through correctly.

Converted the size of a print with bleed to pdf to be printed. Adjusted the Labour Christmas card and emailed about getting them printed to the client. Adjusting the cap badges and emailing to ensure it is correct.Trying to follow up on emails that havn't been replied to 12:05. Adjusting The Labour Christmas card slightly. Checked old emails to follow up on. at 12:50 - 1:05 I wrote and sent a reference letter for a previous employee of the company. Following up emails and updating job sheets till 1:35. 1:35 sent off sample letterheads for print. Followed up with more work. Made a logo and letterhead for GB Plumbing.
